I took this picture yesterday afternoon, as I went to pick up my daughter from school. We live in the center of Amsterdam, close to this canal. It is part of my daily rout, giving me the opportunity to follow nature in the big (small) city… My heart was jumping from happiness to see the changes of the weather and follow the the new angle of the sun light- everything yesterday was smiling at me: “Spring is on his way, just wait”…. 😀

When i see this i miss the canals from Amsterdam. I lived there for 5 years 🙂 Do you also like the silence of the city in the early mornings when almost everyone is still asleep ?
Oh ye you are so right. In early morning and in late evenings. Sometimes it seems like we are the only one around…:-)
